Peaches

A round stone fruit of a tree native to China, with typically juicy yellow flesh and downy yellow skin flushed with red to pinkish-orange colour. A natural layer of velvety bloom gives peaches their distinctive appearance. New varieties developed now include white flesh varieties which have an aromatic flavour and skin with a creamy white background and pink-red blush.

• Ruby Rich –A dark ruby velvety skin with yellow flesh, very sweet and juicy when ripe.
• Rich Lady – A mid-dark red skin with yellow background, with a balanced flavor and juicy eating quality.
• Summer Rich - Yellow Flesh with orangey pink skin, delicate sweet flavor.
• Vista Rich - Yellow Flesh with yellow to red skin, a strong, sweet flavor.
• Flat / donut peaches – Also nicknamed UFO peaches as they are shaped rather like a flying saucer! The shape makes them distinctive in appearance, easier to eat and fun for children. They are white fleshed with an aromatic flavour and have naturally high sugar levels giving a sweet flavour. The variety originated in the USA, but is now also grown in other countries.
