Nectarines

Similar in shape to peaches however instead of a velvety bloom, nectarines have a smooth, brightly coloured skin and rich firm flesh. Traditionally the flesh is yellow in colour, however white flesh varieties are also now available. These have an aromatic flavor, and are characterized by their creamy white-pink flesh.

• April Glo - Yellow Flesh
• Big Bang - Yellow Flesh
• Big Top - A Spanish no.1 variety which is available though the height of the season. This is most popular because of it’s availability and it’s sweet, juicy characteristics. Natural sugar scarring on the skins is a good sign of high sugars.
• Honey Kist - Yellow Flesh
• Magique - A white fleshed variety which has a pink to red skin and creamy white background. The flesh is white with a aromatic flavour
• Artic Snow - A white fleshed variety which has a pink to red skin and creamy white background. The flesh is white with a aromatic flavour.
• Sun Top – yellow Flesh
• May Glo – A South African variety with yellow Flesh
• Alpine – A South African variety with bright yellow/red skin, naturally soft tip when ripe and mild, sweet flavour.
• N-32 – When new varieties are developed they are typically named after a number. When taken to a commercial level the varieties are usually renamed. However this is a variety which has kept it’s original number for a name. N-32 has a red skin and yellow background with yellow flesh.
• Honey Royal - named for it’s extra sweet flavor, yellow flesh and extra juicy.
• Honey Glo - named for it’s extra sweet flavor, yellow flesh and extra juicy texture.
